Is it possible to unblock a nokia 6288?

i lost my phone (on contract) and i claimed off the insurance for a replacement, but after i got the new one and had been using it for a month or so, i found the old one.

can i unblock this phone and sell it?

i know that only some phones can be unblocked, just wondering if this one can be too.

thanks.

It will be permanently blocked for use on the network it was intended for use on if it has been reported lost/stolen to that network.

Have the phone unlocked and try other networks sim cards as one of them is likely to work.
Reply:No the handset will be blacklisted on all networks and technically belongs to the issuer of your contract. The handset when reported gets listed and is imei blocked which is not reversible by users only the network operator. If you approach them to unblock it they will request it back and failure to do so nullifies your contract and you can be taken to court if you fail to surrender it. I worked for O2 and repeatedly dealt with such cases.
