How can you "unblock" the sim card on your phone?

I was goofing off late last night and messing around with my phone. Its a Motorola V190, I got it last summer but haven't really learned how to use all of it.





I was in the security section, messing around with the PIN code feature. I don't know what my PIN code is/was because its always been disabled. I must have accidently figured it out and now my SIM is blocked!





All I can do on the phone now is hit 'UNBLOCK', a message comes on screen that says PIN1 Unblock Code. I enter the numbers that worked last night in getting to this predicament. Then it says "Enter New SIM PIN" and then reenter it but then always says "CODE INVALID".





What am I doing wrong? How can I fix my phone?


I don't have the manual anymore and I desperately need my phone in working order!

Call your service provider or go to the nearest office .. Do don't keep trying to enter numbers at random because your phone may only allow you to enter a number several times .


There are cell phone forums you can join that have software for calculating codes from you serial number but I would't do that because you have already done enough ...


Once you get your phone working I would suggest you create a password or pin that you will remember in case you do it again at least you can get into it ..

Reply:Yes, call your carrier and ask for a PUK code, do not guess the code or you will fry your SIM.
Reply:Hi im assuming you have a vodafone sim card...





What you need to do is call vodafone and ask them for your puk code all you need to get this is to have your pin number you first used to register with vodafone.





All you need to do is call 0800800021 follow the instructions to get to the puk code menu- enter your 4 digit pin number and write your puk cod down.





once you have this, hit unblock, enter your puk code in the "PIN1 Unblock Code" section then when it asks you for your new pin number enter your new 4 digit pin eg:1234 then it will say re-enter your pin and enter the same pin again eg:1234 hit ok and you should be in.





This is the legal way of doing things. it shouls work if you still cant get it working you can search google for sim unblocking tools.
